MADISON KOVELOSKI

Certifications/Education:
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University

About Me:
I have always been interested in fitness and exercise my whole life, as I played lots of sports growing up in an active household. I’ve participated in track, xc, basketball, softball, tennis, and cheer. My main sport was track and xc, so I ran competitively from grade school into my first year in college. I have also become extremely interested in weight lifting during my senior year of high school, which ultimately helped put an influence on my passion to work with individuals in achieving their fitness goals within the exercise and fitness field. I haven’t left since! Embracing my physical fitness capabilities drives me to be even better!

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Slippery Rock University and I am currently continuing to further my education with an M.S in Exercise Science. During my studies, I found myself interning at a YMCA, where I worked closely with the sports director to assist teaching kids new sports skills. I also currently work as a fellow with the Strength and Conditioning Coach at SRU, where I work with collegiate athletes to enhance their athletic performance.

As of now, I have joined the team here at the Butler Y, continuing to coach children and teens in sports including track, volleyball, basketball, and swim. I also help assist with Parkinson’s Disease fitness classes each week to improve quality of life in individuals. You can find me in the Wellness Center pretty often as well. If you want someone who will help you build towards your fitness goals, confidence, and wellness mindset, I am what you’re looking for!
