We offer a planned, comprehensive program designed with the child and family in mind. Our child care programs are conducted by caring YMCA staff, who are trained to meet the needs of children as well as provide positive adult role models.  Our centers are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and have been operating since 1985.

OUR CURRICULUM

Frog Street

Frog Street provides a comprehensive continuum of research-based child care curriculum serving children from birth to age five. The curriculum supports key learning domains and is aligned with the PA Early Learning Standards. Conscious Discipline® (social-emotional development) is integrated into the early child care curriculum each day.

Infants:

Designed around early brain research, the Frog Street Infant curriculum equips caregivers to foster essential growth and build a strong learning foundation for little ones, ages 0-18 months.

Toddlers:

Designed around the latest scientific early brain development research, Frog Street’s Toddler curriculum is a year-round program for children ages 18-36 months that focuses on enhancing the simple joy of childhood while equipping caregivers to nurture curiosity through exploration.

Preschool:

The Frog Street Pre-K curriculum is a comprehensive, dual-language program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners while supporting developmental learning domains. This engaging, interactive pre-kindergarten curriculum celebrates the joy of learning as children travel down the road to success.

Healthy Habits

We are dedicated to creating healthy habits at an early age. From getting the proper amount of phyical activity to making healthy food choices, our curriculum is designed to develop lifelong habits and have fun while doing it.

  • Physical Activity - Each day, your children play games with their peers in the gym or outside when the weather permits. Our preschool classrooms are provided swim lessons every Friday.
  • Healthy Meals - Your child shares meals and snacks with their peers, where they learn to make healthy food choices. All meals exceed USDA requirements, as we follow the CACFP, or Child and Adult Care Food Program standards.
