No, you will need to remove the old app and download the new app from the App Store on Apple devices or Google Play on Android devices.

You can click the above links to go directly to our app in the app store. From there you will download the new app to your device. 

The Y Mobile App is an added value experience to help you reach your fitness goals. There is no cost to download or use the app.

To begin your fitness journey with the Y Mobile App, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the app and click the “Create Account” button.
  2. Choose your home YMCA location.
  3. Finish signing up by filling in your contact information (first name, last name, and email) and create a password.
  4. Explore the Y Mobile App!

One of the many features of the Y Mobile App is digital check-in.

This means you no longer have to bring in your membership card. To use this feature follow the steps below:

  1. Log in the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the barcode icon located in the top right corner.
  3. Select the “Add Barcode” button.
  4. Type in your membership ID number located on your membership card or scan the barcode.
  5. Click “Save” in the top right corner.

You can find the number on the back of your membership card. If you lost your card, then stop by the Member Experience Desk at any location. We’ll be happy to help you add your information.

We have noticed an issue with Android phones. Whether you enter the number in manually or scan it, you must add a space following the last number. The Save button will then appear in the upper right-hand corner.

The Y Mobile App connects with the following fitness trackers:

Apple Health
FitBit
Garmin
MapMyFitness
Microsoft Band
Misfit
MyFitnessPal
Polar
Preva
Runkeeper
Strava
Suunto

Withings

Use the “Connected Apps” icon to streamline your health data and sync your activity with popular fitness tracking devices and apps. 

**Please note - if you sync a fitness tracker, then you will not want to record your workouts manually. This will cause the app to duplicate workouts. Allow your connect device to talk to the app directly to track your workouts.

Yes! Be sure to turn on notifications within the app settings. 

 

Group Fitness class schedules will be found in the app under "Find a Class." You can sort by location, activity and instructor. Just choose "Filter" to select how you want to sort the schedule.

All other area schedules including pool and gym schedules can be found under "Extra Schedules and More"

Click on your user photo/initials in the upper left hand corner. This will expand the account section. Click on Locations. It auto populates with your home branch. Click on the magnifying glass at the top to view our other branches. Simply click on one of the branches to access further information.

This Challenges feature is a fun way to mix up your workout routine. To participate in a challenge follow the below steps:

  1. Log in the the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the “Challenges” icon.
  3. Click one or more of the challenges that seems interesting to you to learn more.

No matter your workout routine, you can record all your workouts with this easy to use feature. If you sync a fitness tracker to our app, your workouts will be automatically added. If you want to manually enter your workouts, follow one of the three ways below:

Record Manually using Exercises:

  1. Log in the the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the “Track Workout” icon.
  3. Select exercises from the library and add them to your workout by clicking the blue plus sign.
  4. Once you have selected the exercises you want to complete, click "Go to Workout" to begin.
  5. Once you complete an exercise, click "Check Exercise" to move to the next. 
  6. Click "Finish" to complete your workout and have it added to your workout history.

Record Manually using Templates:

  1. Log in the the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the “Track Workout” icon.
  3. Select "Templates" in the teal menu bar.
  4. Create your own workout templates or use one of our templates created by our Healthy Living Department.
  5. Click “Start Workout" to begin.
  6. Once you complete an exercise, click "Check Exercise" to move to the next. 
  7. Click "Finish" to complete your workout and have it added to your workout history.

xCapture:

  1. Log in the the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the “Track Workout” icon.
  3. Select “xCapture” in the teal menu bar.
  4. Select the device type: bike, elliptical, recumbent bike, stepper, treadmill, and/or other.
  5. Capture the full control panel when you finish your workout: time, calories, and distance.
  6. Click the “Submit” button to save.
  7. Your workout will be added to your workout history in 24 hours.

One of the best features to help you reach your fitness goals on the Y Mobile App is the Goal Center.

To use this feature follow the steps below:

  1. Log in the the Y Mobile App.
  2. Click the “Goal Center” icon.
  3. Select your goal type (number of workouts, calories, time, or distance).
  4. Select your target.
  5. Select the period of time in which you wish to reach your goal.
  6. Name your goal.

You are always welcome to stop by the Membership Desk for help with the mobile app. You can also submit questions, concerns, and feedback directly through our app by:

  1. Click on the "Contact Us" icon.
  2. Select "App Issue/Question" for help with app features OR select "Feedback/Suggestions" for general questions or comments about the Y.
  3. You can also click the blue question mark in the bottom right for FAQ.

You can reset your password by selecting the “Forgot password?” link located below the log in button.
